Air heaters / duct heaters

1、What is an electric heater?

An electric heater is a device that utilizes electrical energy to convert it into thermal energy. It typically includes a resistive element that generates heat when an electric current flows through it. This generated heat can be used for heating air, liquid, or solids to meet specific heating requirements.

2、Characteristics of Electric Heaters

Electric heaters are widely used for direct heating of flowing air and other gases. The output power of the heater series ranges from 0.5 kW to 1 MW, making it suitable for various heating applications.

The characteristics of electric heaters include:

  • Accurate Control: Electric heaters can achieve precise control of heating power by adjusting the size of the electric current, thereby achieving precise temperature control.

  • No Pollution: The electric heating process does not generate exhaust gas, wastewater, or other emitted substances, thus causing no pollution to the environment.

  • Simple Structure: Electric heaters have a relatively simple structure, typically consisting of a resistive element and a corresponding control system. This simplicity makes them easy to manufacture, install, and maintain.

  • Flexibility: Electric heaters can be designed in various shapes and sizes to accommodate different heating needs. This flexibility allows electric heaters to be widely applied across different industries and fields.

  • Instant Response: Due to not requiring a preheating time, electric heaters can quickly generate heat once powered on, achieving an immediate heating effect.

  • Relatively Safe: Electric heaters can enhance their safety by incorporating safety devices such as temperature sensors and overload protection. These devices can prevent overheating and excessive current, reducing potential safety risks.
